Description
The School of Engineering at Macquarie University offers an extensive range of engineering fields of study in Australia. The program uniquely combines a solid foundation in theoretical knowledge with project-based learning as the signature experience to provide students with modern, practical skills acquisition and industry experience through the following five specialisations:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronic Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Civil and Environmental Engineering
The School of Engineering aims to be equitable and inclusive. We promote a society in which the decision to pursue a career in Engineering is unbounded by gender. The School of Engineering has established a Women in Engineering Committee, actively encouraging women studying Engineering at Macquarie University and increasing women's representation in STEM.
Our teaching also incorporates the groundbreaking research our academics are undertaking in areas such as nanotechnology, antenna design, microsensors and sustainable energy systems.
