JST stands for Japan Solderless Terminal. JST was established in 1957 and was Japan's first manufacturer and distributor of Solderless Terminals. JST's technology of electrical connections, acquired by mass-production of Solderless Terminals, has continued to evolve dynamically, thanks to the development of the electronics industry in Japan.

Today, JST connectors are being used in various electrical and electronics equipment such as automotive, home electrical appliances, office electrical appliances, industrial electrical appliances and telecommunications. JST has an In-House Production System, from R&D of the product to the final manufacturing process. We are geared towards total efficiency, serving with high productivity, and micron-level precision.

JST has worldwide operations with many manufacturing plants in Asia, Europe and America as well as sales office in all continents. Chairwoman and President of JST are Mrs. Miyoko Nishimoto and Mr. Masao Yoshimura respectively. In Malaysia, JST set-up its manufacturing plants in the area of Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) Free Trade Zone, Gelang Patah, Johor. The company was incorporated in 2005

JST Malaysia has four manufacturing plants at PTP namely, I-Plant, N-Plant, U-Plant and S-Plant.
