The Joint Victorian Chemical Engineering Committee (JVCEC) is cooperative initiative of members of the Institution of Chemical Engineers and the Engineers Australia Chemical College and is the representative Member Group for Chemical Engineers of both organisations based in Victoria.
The committee members are instrumental in organizing and overlooking continuing professional development, networking, and plant tours. Annual events of JVCEC include the Pratt Prize awarded for the best design project by Final Year Chemical Engineering Students, and the Annual General Meeting, which includes the penultimate year student prize.
The committee's mission is to deliver events for the professional development of the Victorian chemical engineering community at all stages ranging from student to professional individuals in the industry.
