Description
Jakarta Art House Community Theater (previously named Elhaq Latief Production) began its journey in 2019. Elhaq Latief, as the Artistic Director produced a benefit concert (ballet) titled "Kintsugi: A New Ballet about Love, Betrayal & Abuse" with the initial aim of raising awareness towards violence in romantic relationship to the the audience based on his personal experience. Seeing the amount of aid and the impact that was successfully reached, Aldy Inzaghi and Nadya Teja as Elhaq’s college friends and long-time colleagues in several theatre productions, expressed their desire to continue the message of kindness in the hope of helping the society in understanding the marginalized social issues that should be properly addressed to the public through one thing we are passionate about, Performing Arts.
Departing from this basis and the collective experience of these three friends, Jakarta Art House was born to become a platform for performing arts enthusiasts, not only to develop their crafts but also to increase public awareness towards social issues that are actually happening around us but often neglected by the society.
