Founded by the late John Stephens (known to all as J.R.) by purchasing his first truck in 1950, the company continued to grow managed now by 3rd generation.
Day to day, J.R. Stephens & Co provide a bulk haulage service specialising in waste.
Services includes:
- Carting products from transfer stations, desalination plants, treatment works, contaminated soil sites and various other products to landfills;
- Supplying raw material such as clay and shale for use in manufacturing of bricks and associated products;
- Transporting of coal to various locations including hospitals, abattoirs and food processing plants;
- Cartage of grain and other products from various locations and delivering to the Port and feed-lot facilities.
