The Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia, Queensland & Northern Territory (IPWEA-QNT) is the peak body representing those working in the public works sector in Queensland and Northern Territory.
Our mission is to create a vibrant, vital, supportive community for those engaged in the public works sector which serves to enhance the quality of life for all Queensland communities.
In addition to our strong sense of community and proactive branch network, our leading-edge technical products are widely-adopted. Our quarterly e-Journal, Engineering for Public Works is valued for its technical and industry-relevant content and our new Knowledge Centre is a vital resource for anyone actively engaged in the public works sector.
IPWEAQ's comprehensive, innovative professional development program exceeds the needs of members and industry and our excellence awards are highly sought after. Our many conferences and Technical Forums are must-attend events delivered across the state and we uphold professional standards as an RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) assessor.
Our water directorate (qldwater) strengthens the urban water industry to maintain and improve the safety, health, well-being and sustainability of Queensland communities.
