The Institute for Data Management (I4DM) is an education initiative of the internationally recognised data management specialists Robinson Ryan. Our aim is to develop and hone the skills, knowledge and data management capability of organisations and individuals. We provide a resource-rich learning environment, including ongoing access to our resources, to help them acquire globally recognised skills and even certification.
Poor data literacy is a common business issue that impacts decision making and the ability for organisations to become insights driven. There is very little training at universities or business schools on how best to collect, manage and extract the value of data, so I4DM was set up to provide all levels of the organisation with the essential skill set that they can apply in their daily roles.
Our online courses fit around busy lives and are dedicated to making data management easy to understand and practical. We believe in collaborative learning and provide on-going support to participants. This includes access to continuously reviewed and optimised learning programs that are based on industry best practice (the Data Management Body of Knowledge).
Our teachers are some of Australia’s most experienced data management experts and respected thought leaders. They have years of teaching experience and can explain concepts without resorting to jargon.
Participants can join a friendly community where teachers mentor and support your development after the course. You also have continuing access to a comprehensive library of up-to-date resources. Our aim is to improve people’s data handling confidence and their ability to use it well.
