Description

Connecting science with community.

The Inspiring WA program supports initiatives and events which engage diverse groups who are historically under-represented in STEM. We are particularly interested in initiatives which can promote under-represented groups contributions to STEM and which break down stereotypes of what a STEM professional looks like and who can engage with the sciences.

Inspiring WA coordinates National Science Week for WA, administers targeted statewide grant funding, and supports the STEM engagement network. The program aims to strengthen the network through stronger relationships, resources and knowledge sharing.

The Inspiring WA program is part of the Inspiring Australia National Network. We are supported by the Commonwealth Government Department of Industry, Science and Resources through an Inspiring Australia Network grant and by the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation. The program is proudly hosted by Scitech Discovery Centre in Perth, on the traditional lands of the Whadjuk Noongar people.
