One of INPEX’s most significant projects is the Abadi LNG Project in Masela Block located in Maluku Province, Tanimbar Islands Regency. The Abadi LNG Project is expected to produce 9.5 million tons of LNG annually, along with 150 mmscfd gas for local use. Additionally, INPEX is pioneering CCS technology within the Abadi LNG Project, leveraging the significant CO₂ storage potential of the Abadi Gas Field, and it will contribute to achieve Indonesia’s net zero carbon target in 2050.
Beyond energy production, the Abadi LNG Project is poised to drive economic and social development in Eastern Indonesia, fostering job creation, infrastructure development, and economic growth. This initiative aligns with Indonesia’s long-term sustainability goals and reinforces our commitment to delivering energy security, innovation, and environmental responsibility.
