Why IBIR? Because the Current Verification System Isn’t Working.

For too long, Australia’s Indigenous business verification processes have been paper-based, inconsistent, and vulnerable to misuse.

These systems have allowed black cladding - the exploitation of Indigenous identity for commercial gain - to flourish unchecked.

IBIR exists to change that.

It replaces the tick-box approach with a robust, independent, and culturally grounded integrity review, designed to verify who truly owns, controls, and benefits from Indigenous businesses.
