Whether raising a family, studying or working, creativity is something we should all be investing in. For yourself, for your family, and for your staff.
Imagination Station is a community-driven education organisation - located right in the heart of Christchurch City.
We use our huge range of LEGO and DUPLO bricks for fun learning, play and creativity. From tower building to robot design - we do the lot!
There is endless research showing the importance of creative play in learning - not only for early child development, but also for inspiring originality and adaptability in people of all stages of their careers. As Sir Ken Robinson famously said in his 2006 ted talk, ‘Creativity is as important as literacy’.
Creativity is hugely valuable and transferable into the workplace. While stress has been shown to decrease creativity levels, we believe it's never too late to start encouraging creativity - with your staff, or with your kids. In a post-quake city with stress-levels higher than ever before, and in a time where adaptability is perhaps the most important trait in being employable, creativity is something we believe society urgently needs to invest into people of all ages.
Imagination Station uses the well-respected and familiar brand of LEGO to provide an environment that children and adults instantly trust and are willing and able to engage in.
We offer a variety of learning workshops, which are used for team building, school classes and and families. Imagination Station also host birthday parties - you can even hire the venue after hours for a private events!
We're 100% accessible for the public to come and be creative - simply give a Koha of what you can afford each time you come to play.
