The International Junior Honor Society (IJHS) is a global, student-led organization dedicated to recognising and empowering high-performing students in Grades 4–12 through academic excellence, leadership development, and meaningful community service.
Founded with the belief that students can (and should!) lead transformative change, IJHS nurtures the next generation of globally minded changemakers. Every chapter and initiative is led by students, for students. From organizing leadership summits and service projects to publishing journals and mentoring peers, our members are the driving force behind everything we do.
Today, IJHS supports a diverse network of 2,000+ scholars across 30+ countries. Our signature programs include the Young Achievers Leadership Academy (YALA) and the Global Student Leadership Council (GSLC), which collectively foster innovation, empathy, and ethical leadership. We equip students with real-world skills, such as public speaking, collaborative problem-solving, and strategic planning, through experiential learning and cross-cultural collaboration.
Our vision is a world where young people lead with purpose, give back with compassion, and inspire others through their achievements. At IJHS, students don’t just earn recognition. They become the leaders, mentors, and advocates who shape their communities and beyond.
