IISM is a non-government organization aimed to optimize the mining industry contribution toward sustainable development in Indonesia.

To achieve the objective, IISM is designed to engage sustainable development stakeholders, including industries, government, academies, researchers and communities through research collaborations, information sharing, discussions and capacity buildings, and more.

IISM was established on December 11, 2013 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. IISM continuously develop good communication mediums with all interested and concerned parties in sustainable development in mining, one of which is this website.
