Established in Melbourne, Australia in 2021, Ida is the lovechild of Joy, Sameiko and Jessica, a trio connected through family and deep friendship.
For far too long, they also shared a desire to find the perfect stylish, reliable, forever-use bag.
So after years of unsuccessful searches for a stylish, convenient solution, and with a passion for contributing to a more sustainable future, they decided to just create their own.
In the process, head product guru, Joy, was inspired by her Grandmother, Ida – a sassy individual who exuded class and knew the value of a true friend. So when Joy, Sameiko and Jessica decided to create the ultimate long-lasting, dependable fashion accessory, the name was never in question.

Inspired by the designs of net bags dating back to the 1930s, Ida fuses modern-day craftsmanship and a level of style suitable for everything from sidewalk strolls to market meandering.

Ida has been put to the test to carry in excess of 20kg. We wouldn't recommend putting yourself through that, but it's safe to say you'll have absolutely no issues toting your groceries, gym gear or everyday work essentials of about 5kg over distance.
