At ICR Studio we believe listening, deliberation, and collaboration are the key to creating simple and compelling architectural solutions.
Thanks for coming to our website. Our little design practice is based in Auckland and we have been in business since 2005 which means our training wheels are off and we love what we do. The types of architecture we focus on are homes, cafes, shops and factories ( residential, hospitality, retail and industrial in architecture speak).
We use fancy computer programmes like Archicad so that we create computer generated 3D models with our clients. This makes the design process intuitive, but this technology (sometimes referred to as BIM: Building Information Modelling) allows us to almost prototype your project before we build it. This makes the construction way easier and also eliminates some of the mistakes that used to happen with the old school pen and paper drawings. All this makes for a better and more economical project.
We believe that sustainability is an integral part of excellent design, which is why we consider ecologically sustainable design strategies early on in our design process. The relationship between built and natural environments also strongly influences our work. Our design expertise has been recognized by the industry with awards from Architectural Designers New Zealand Inc. for our high standard of design innovation.
