Terbentuknya Ikatan Auditor Intern Bank (IAIB) sebagai asosiasi profesi auditor intern bank diharapkan menjadi representasi profesi auditor intern bank di Indonesia dan menjadi wadah bagi pengembangan profesi auditor intern bank. Melalui penguatan fungsi audit intern pada setiap bank diharapkan dapat mendukung peningkatan efektivitas dari penerapan manajemen risiko, pengendalian internal dan tata kelola yang baik dari masing-masing bank, yang pada akhirnya akan menciptakan industri keuangan yang sehat dan kuat di Indonesia. Berbagai program pelatihan dan sertifikasi yang tersedia di IAIB dapat menjadi sarana bagi pengembangan kompetensi dari para auditor intern bank untuk pada akhirnya dapat meningkatkan kualitas dari pelaksanaan fungsi audit internal pada masing-masing bank. Kami mengajak para auditor intern bank untuk bergabung menjadi anggota dan memanfaatkan asosiasi ini sebagai wadah untuk kita saling berbagi pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dalam mengembangkan profesi kita sebagai auditor intern bank.
