Description
A high school project that grew to 10k users a month, HyperBlu aggregated news from a range of outlets including but not limited to CNN, Fox News, Al Jazeera, BBC, Times of India, and CGTN, and applied natural language processing with spaCy to filter out bias. Our core idea was to fuse news from tens of outlets together and then determine what we call an 'aggregate news feed' to strip out bias that comes from using just a few sources. With due consideration to tonality, time, date, and frequency of reporting across different newspapers, our systems produced a balanced view of the news that just gave you facts without the added drama.
