Description

Holdsafe 'Bottle Safety Solutions' is a 2017 Young Enterprise Scheme business. We are set on a mission to decrease the number of workplace back injuries by providing you with safe and efficient transport for your gas bottles.

Our YES journey started at the beginning of this year, January 2017. Since then, we have worked tirelessly through the many stages that all start-up businesses go through: market validation, brand development, constructing numerous prototypes of potential products, finalising and refining our products, creating functioning business systems, developing a website/online store, etc.

Thanks to YES, (and our awesome regional coordinators Dave Craig and Lucy Robertson!), we have been able to connect with many professionals and attend a variety of different workshops focusing on our different roles within our business.

Our main product, the Bottle Boost 2.0, is solving an industry wide issue around the safety and efficiency of transporting gas bottles. Holdsafe recently attended the Manawatu Dragons Den, where we professionally pitched our business idea to a panel of six judges. This event is one of our main YES events of the year. We took home 1st place at the YES Dragons Den Award Ceremony, along with the Next Big Thing Award and the Marketing Magic Award!

We have also featured on the front page of the New Zealand Engineering News Magazine, with an accompanying two articles within the magazine! We owe a massive thanks to Greg Robertson and the team at Hayley Media for their incredible help and support!
