Program Studi Ilmu Hubungan Internasional didirikan pada tahun 1961. Pada awalnya, Program Studi Ilmu Hubungan Internasional atau yang dulu dikenal dengan Spesialisasi Hubungan Internasional merupakan bagian dari Jurusan Ketatanegaraan dalam Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Katolik Parahyangan. Barulah pada tahun 1983 Spesialisasi Hubungan Internasional diresmikan menjadi Program Studi Ilmu Hubungan Internasional secara terpisah hingga saat ini.
Sejak diresmikan sebagai sebuah jurusan pada tahun 1983, Program Studi Ilmu Hubungan Internasional telah di ketuai oleh 10 Ketua Program studi, berikut daftar Ketua Program Studi Ilmu Hubungan Internasional:
