Himpunan Mahasiswa Manajemen Fakultas Eknomi dan Bisnis Universitas Budi Luhur berdiri pada Tanggal 27 September 2004. pada saat itu, Banyak motivasi, ide kreatif, aspirasi yang tidak terealisasi dan tidak tersalurkan. Hingga akhirnya organisasi ini berdiri berdasarkan semangat kekeluargaan, dorongan motivasi dan keberanian rekan-rekan Mahasiswa Manajemen yang bekerjasama dengan Senat Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi UBL beserta HMMI (Himpunan Mahasiswa Manajemen Se-Indonesia ).
September 2004 dimotori oleh mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Jurusan Manajemen Keuangan dan Pemasaran yang pada saat itu dalam suatu kelompok kelas bernama AFC angkatan 2002, terdorong motivasi untuk belajar kelompok dalam menyikapi memecahkan permasalahan studi kuliah yang semakin rumit, sulit untuk mencari jalan membentuk kelompok belajar (study club), karena pada saat itu Fakultas Ekonomi hanya mempunyai satu himpunan, yaitu Himpunan Mahasiswa Akuntansi (HIMA).
