Description

Program Studi Ilmu Perpustakaan Fakultas Ilmu Administrasi Universitas Brawijaya Malang yang lahir sejak tahun 2011, resmi mendapatkan SK Prodi dari Dirjen Pendidikan Tinggi pada pertengahan Oktober 2014. Sehubungan dengan turunnya SK tersebut, Mahasiswa Prodi ini berupaya untuk mendirikan Himpunan Mahasiswa Program Studi (HMPIP). Yang bertujuan sebagai jaring aspirasi dan edukasi Mahasiswa. Melalui Panitia Pembentukan Himpunan Ilmu Perpustakaan (PPHIP) yang dikoordinatori oleh M. Andika Rizqi Fauzi, Mahasiswa Prodi Ilmu Perpustakaan mulai melakukan tahap lobying ke Lembaga Kedaulatan Mahasiswa (LKM) FIA dan pihak dekanat. Resmi pada tanggal 22 Desember 2014, semua persetujuan pembentukan himpunan dari berbagai pihak didapatkan.

Sebagai tindak lanjut pembentukan himpunan, Mahasiswa Prodi Ilmu Perpustakaan menyelenggarakan Musyawarah Besar Mahasiswa Ilmu Perpustakaan. Kegiatan tersebut membahas dan mengesahkan Anggaran Dasar dan Anggaran Rumah Tangga, merumuskan Rencana Program Jangka Menengah dan Rencana Program Jangka Pendek (RPJM-RPJP), menetapkan nama dan logo himpunan, serta memilih Ketua Umum Himpunan. Musyawarah besar ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10-11 Januari 2015 di Fakultas Ilmu Administrasi Universitas Brawijaya. Hari itu pula, resmi ditetapkan nama himpunan yaitu HMPIP, sebagai singkatan dari Himpunan Mahasiswa Prodi Ilmu Perpustakaan.
