HG Holdings is a group of companies based in Vietnam and a market leader in Hospitality in Indochina. Members are, amongst others, HG Travel, one of the largest Destination Management companies in the region with own operations in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar; the Bhaya Group with the largest fleet of upmarket boats in UNESCO’s world heritage spot Halong Bay; HG Aviation, General Sales Agent for world class airlines such as American and Turkish Airlines and Gotadi, an online portal serving the domestic and outbound travel market.
The company was founded in Hanoi in 1997 by Mr. Ngo Minh Duc and Mr. Tran Thanh Nam, who met already at the University, where they shared the same vision and passion for tourism, aviation and hospitality. After Duc spent several years with the country’s national carrier Vietnam Airlines they joined together and became pioneers in the young industry, only some years after Vietnam opened its borders and started officially to promote tourism.
Ever since, the company has seen significant growth and is nowadays home for more than 750 multi-lingual local and international industry professionals, with worldwide representation offices and operations in regional countries, serving clients from all over the world.
In the years to come the company will concentrate on expanding the network and operations to cover all of Asia and add its own boutique hotel chain to the portfolio.
