Description
The history of Harris Freer P/L started when Geoff Harris and Ross Freer joined forces in 1996, having met through their ownership of other Toyota dealerships. They came together to acquire a little Berwick dealership in 1996.
At that time Berwick was barely considered a fringe suburb of Melbourne, almost rural. The dealership was small with numerous local employees, some of whom are still with the dealership and have just clicked over 25 years. In 2007 our current managing director Jonathan Hardwick joined the group, we then welcomed Sam Freer, Ross Freer’s son, who is now the General Manager of Berwick and Pakenham Toyota.
In 2010 the name was changed from Harris Freer Toyota to Berwick Toyota, that same year Pakenham Toyota was built. This was the first dealership built out in the new industrial area, which now is a thriving dealership hub. In 2013 the original Harris Freer group acquired 2 additional local dealerships Berwick Volkswagen and David Nutter Ford, which was renamed Berwick Ford, then in 2015 we opened Berwick Jaguar Land Rover. From here the new HFH Auto Group was created.
As a group, we pride ourselves on being a family-owned business, who not only employ local people but also give back to the community, with numerous sponsorships of local sporting clubs, schools and charities.
The owners and staff all lead by our Mission 100 statement. Mission 100 defines our vision – to be the best automotive organization in the country, by consistently striving to deliver 100% guest satisfaction, to 100% of our guests, 100% of the time. Where employees are engaged; the community is served and our business reputation is infused with integrity and fun! We are also ecstatic to welcome Lexus of Berwick to our group in the second quarter of 2018.
