Established in 1982 by Paul Hede, Hede Architects is an industry leader in education architecture with particular expertise in designing for special needs and disability. The practice has developed a reputation for producing buildings focused on the needs of users and has received awards and citations for these.

In addition to our education focus, Hede have a long-standing relationship with many local councils delivering a varied portfolio of community-based developments from life saving clubs to intergenerational community hubs. This range of experience over many building types enables unique solutions.

In 2019, Hede became part of the Bickerton Masters (BM_) Group. Joining Bickerton Masters has multiplied our capacity and improved our access to best-practice design and planning expertise. With the backing of BM_, we'll soon be expanding our offering into new sectors.
