Description

Since 2016, Hard Knock Knocks has been helping keynote speakers, bucket list tickers and budding comedians develop stand-up comedy skills. This is accomplished through monthly hands-on, evening workshops and online course, which combines adult learning techniques, mentoring from veteran stand-up comedians, and loads of practice. Our mentors have included Steve Hughes, Richard Stubbs, Dave O’Neil, Brad Oakes, Jeff Green, Chris Franklin, and Christine Basil, just to name a few, and our courses are run in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney.

Upon graduation, the school helps graduates continue their journey by producing ‘The Best Of’ festival shows at Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) and Sydney Comedy Festival. The school also runs Punchlines Comedy Club in Melbourne, where alumni from all over Australia are paid to perform, alongside some of Australia’s best comedians.
