Description
The roots of HAMBURG Trading Corporation can be traced back to 1968 when K.D Feddersen Ueberseegesellschaft mbH, a global trading company based in Hamburg, Germany, sent Horst Kessler von Sprengeisen to the Philippines to set up their Manila liaison office. With just a suitcase in hand, strong will, and determination, he ventured into the Philippine trading business and eventually gained remarkable success in the industry.
In 1978, Horst Kessler von Sprengeisen founded HAMBURG Trading Corporation. At first, HAMBURG Trading focused on trading industrial chemicals, sanitary wares, tiles, faucets and sinks, as well as flavours, and fragrances, all imported from Europe.
By the late 1980's, HAMBURG Trading began to handle and trade refractory materials and cater to the local cement, steel, and glass industries.
In 1998, the Food Sales Department was established. During this time, HAMBURG Trading began distributing starch and modified starches to multinational companies in the Philippines. Aside from these, they also distributed glucose, polyols, dextrose, and caramel color.
During the first years of the 21st century, a new Business Unit was added--Adhesives and Woodworking Components. HAMBURG Trading became one of the leading national distributors of high-quality adhesives and related hand-working components. In 2014, HAMBURG Trading had major milestones, including the acquisition of a 7,000-sqm lot in Meridian Industrial Complex in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. HAMBURG Trading was also appointed as the exclusive Merck distributor of laboratory products for the food and beverage industry in Luzon and Zamboanga.
On January 2018, HAMBURG transferred to their new warehouse and administration building in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The facility consists of 5 storage areas; spacious and modern administrative offices; and state-of-the-art demo kitchen. On April 26, 2018, the building was officially inaugurated.
For 50 years, HAMBURG TRADING CORPORATION has positioned itself as the preferred supplier in the food, chemicals, refractories, woodworking components, and laboratory reagents industries nationwide.
