Description
During the Covid-19 pandemic, my daughter had to study at home. I educated her by providing her with many children's books to read. However, most high-quality children's books were available in English, such as those published by Usborne. Therefore, I started writing and self-publishing my children's books with similar qualities that my daughter usually reads. I managed to self-published and sell my books through Shopee. Then, I started my book-publishing business, Hai Booca, which focuses on providing early-aged children with educational content and parenting knowledge.
Moreover, we develop 2D animation and local nursery rhymes to introduce local wisdom (folklore), good habits (toilet training, healthy food, sleep training, and many more) and general knowledge and skill (ABCs, 123, shapes, animals, and many more).
In the future, we aim to develop gamified apps to improve reading, writing, and mathematics skills among children in Indonesia.
Currently, we already signed a contract with Kawah Media, a book distributor in Jakarta. Moreover, we will collaborate with the University of Gajah Mada to develop a local curriculum for our products.
