Green Path Migrants (GPM) was founded in late 2023 by two former students from University of Bristol (United Kingdom) and Hanoi University (Vietnam) with the purpose of raising awareness on the issue of climate-induced displacement and migration to Vietnamese youth.
GPM operates mainly in the online media and communication sector. In collaboration with Guest Writers from intersectional sectors, GPM focuses on publishing innovative discussions of philosophy, ethics, economics, feminist, queer theory and critical race theory to the topic of climate change and human mobility. By employing Gen Z marketing strategies—including fresh, visually appealing content and interactive storytelling— we have successfully engaged a younger audience.
Hence, after over 01 year of active presence on 03 social media platforms, up to July 2025, GPM has garnered 3,300 regular followers and over 7,000 lifetime followers. We have published more than 150 high-quality articles, with over 20 guest writers, and reached 77,000 people.
Through 3 platforms, GPM builds a series of activities to enhance community interaction, including implementing action weeks on Preventing Human Trafficking after Climatic Disasters (WTF) and action months to increase community awareness of safe internal migration “Flood footprints” (Vietnamese: Những dấu chân chạy lũ).
In March-May 2025, GPM in collaboration with Hanoi Law University's LRC hosted a Writing Contest named “Green Path Writers” on the theme of "Navigating Climate - Driven Migration: Insights from Southeast Asia and Vietnam". This marks a milestone as GPM takes its campaign offline and becomes the beginning of a broader effort to engage youth through a series of events designed to deepen the conversation on climate mobility.
