We work with businesses to achieve solutions for some of the trickiest waste problems, delivering the highest possible environmental outcomes for a wide range of discarded office resources or workplace waste. We choose to deal with 'hard to recycle' office items and create new solutions that keep harmful materials out of landfill by finding the best reuse, upcycling or recycling pathways. Items that can be reused are channelled through our two retail stores.
Green Collect has been a pioneer in developing new approaches to the collection and processing of a wide range of office items including electronic waste, folders and other stationery items. A huge 44% of workplace waste still ends up in landfill, which equates to 1.7 tonnes per employer per year! We are committed to working with businesses to divert workplace waste from landfill through creating new processes and local solutions.
The aim of all work generated is to provide social benefit through the creation of new employment and training outcomes for communities facing significant disadvantage. Supportive and flexible training programs deliver pathways for 'at risk' youth and people from refugee backgrounds. Employment and mentoring in Green Collect's business is provided to these target groups to enable sustainable change and social impact.
