Great Image is a prime mover in the photo and digital imaging industry. As the country’s top photo and video studio chain, Great Image is known for its excellent, professional, reliably fast and creative photography services. It has built a solid reputation in the photo industry business over the last 35 years.
It was established in 1983 deriving its name from the biblical passage in Genesis 1: 27 “So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” capturing the true meaning of the words “Great Image” in its deepest sense.
The business was started by a very enterprising husband and wife team, out of sheer hobby and interest that they both shared. They ventured together to make the business a “success”. Knowing the penchant of Filipinos to capture the best and happiest moments in their lives whether in a photo or video — be it weddings, birthdays, baptisms, graduation or a simple family get-together — a photo/video has become a strong symbol of close family ties, a constant reminder of important milestones and a significant part of Filipino tradition.
They were then greatly inspired to make Great Image a part of every Filipino family’s special celebration by introducing and offering excellent photo and video services to capture those special moments.
From its humble beginnings, the first photo studio was located in SM Cubao, a thriving commercial hub back then. The couple’s remarkable teamwork grew the business from a simple photo studio to a profitable, one-stop professional photo and video retail chain. Because Great Image was able to earn a good company reputation with its sustained revenue growth, major shopping malls like SM and Robinsons made sure that a Great Image photo studio is present in every mall development. Great Image’s number of photo studios grew fast as the years passed, and has successfully dominated the photo industry market.
