Recognising what the baby boomers want in retirement and more specifically what they do not want and predicting the changes in legislation in the aged care sector, John designed the Grandton Model. A model that fits hand in glove with the desires of retirees and delivers a new paradigm in accommodation and services that synergistically fits with the seismic shift due in the aged care sector.
The Grandton Applecross project, delivered by iconic apartment developers Norup+Wilson, is the first of the reimagined senior’s living concepts using the Grandton Model.
Grandton Applecross project offers seniors luxury apartment homes, owed as strata, adaptable as needs arise, within a vibrant community setting, with access to a comprehensive menu of personal and clinical services by Roshana Care Group that offers them the opportunity to gracefully age in their home and avoid the dreaded move to an institutional nursing home.
Grandton Limited’s vision is to develop retirement accommodation utilising the Grandton Model which reimagines senior’s living that offers a better quality of life.
Grandton Limited’s mission is to apply surplus earnings to support disadvantaged senior women with subsidised rental accommodation.
The Grandton journey was chosen not because it would be easy to change entrenched and moribund paradigms that existed in the aged care sector, but because it was hard, as being hard brings out the best results.
