Description

Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian development NGO founded in Korea in 1991 to make the world a place without hunger, where people live together in harmony. Currently Good Neighbors’ community development project and humanitarian response reached 219,048 sponsored children and 7,500,019 people around 207 project sites in 49 Partnership Countries. In 2007, Good Neighbors was awarded the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) Award by the International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (AICESIS) in recognition of valuable efforts in providing universal primary education over the world. We also work in cooperation with our partners including UN World Food Program (UN WFP), UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), UN Development Program (UNDP), UN Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) and other aid agencies.

Good Neighbors officially opened its branch in Vietnam on 1 June 2005. GN’s operation certificate in Vietnam was issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Good Neighbors in Vietnam (GNV) has initiated many programs in underprivileged areas of the country, including Child sponsorship, Education and Children Protection, Income Generation, Community Health, Partnership and Humanitarian Aid. Currently, GNV are operating 6 Community Development Projects in 4 provinces of Hoa Binh, Tuyen Quang, Thanh Hoa and Ha Giang with more than 10,000 sponsored children and over 200,000 beneficiaries.
