Description

Global Health Youth Connect is a student-run non-profit organization aiming to fill the educational gap in global health in our youths by raising awareness of current and emerging global health challenges, to empower them to grow as thought leaders in the field. We are an independent organization affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine, Health Sciences and Dentistry at the University of Melbourne.

Our goals are:

  • To provide high school students with an opportunity to learn about the science underpinning global health in the form of a science outreach event.
  • To provide university students with an opportunity to teach and revisit the knowledge of global health through a different lens as a tutor and facilitator.
  • To share knowledge of global health through a science communication platform.
  • To present a platform for researchers in global health to share their knowledge with the younger generation.
  • To promote global health, through raising awareness of key global health challenges.
