Description
Gameco commenced trading in Brisbane in 1972. It was the idea of a Gas Engineer, F.W.N.(Wal) Taylor and his vision was that the company should service the equipment needs of all facets of the Gas Industry. The name of the business, GAMECO, was derived from Gas and Mechanical Engineering Company.
From its inception as a one family operation, the company has grown to be among Australia’s leading suppliers of gas equipment with warehouses in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and New Zealand.
The GAMECO group employs around 50 specialist staff. They include Combustion, Mechanical and Automotive Engineers (specialising in LP Gas and Natural Gas vehicles), qualified LP Gas installers and technical sales staff.
The GAMECO business was built on service to the customer and to the industry generally. Gameco is a member of Gas Energy Australia and its management supports the TAFE network (for gas related courses), Standards Australia and the Institution of Gas Engineers (Australia).
From the Group’s offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Masterton, New Zealand, we service all States and Territories of Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Asia, and Oceania. The company supplies highly respected, specialist products from manufacturers such as RegO, PECOFacet, Parker, Rochester, Flame Engineering, SIT, Robertshaw, Primus, Gasolec and Red Dragon to name a few.
Each of the company sites in Australia is a licensed Gas Cylinder Test Station. Mobile test station licences are also held.
Gameco is committed to a safe industry and the advancement of Gas as an efficient and environmentally friendly energy source that is indigenous to Australia and New Zealand.
