Frontier Tower Associates Philippines Inc. (“Frontier Towers” or “Frontier”) is the leading independent tower company in the Philippines. Frontier Towers invests in, builds and operates digital infrastructure in partnership with the mobile network operators in the Philippines under the government’s common tower policy. Frontier was one of the first independent towercos in the Philippines to secure a license to operate from the DICT and is a pioneer in the tower market leading the way with its proven build-to-suit capabilities and committed funding and organization in place for large scale asset purchases.
Frontier has the largest nationwide network of independently owned towers and related infrastructure and currently employs more than 200 people directly across Luzon, Mindanao and Visayas, and also employs many hundreds indirectly through its partnerships with local contractors and other businesses.
Increasing the coverage and quality of broadband services over cellular networks is a key priority for our customers and the Philippines’ government to increase economic growth and improve the lives of Filipinos. Frontier is part of Pinnacle Towers which is backed by New York-based KKR (www.kkr.com), one of the largest private equity firms in the world.
