Description
The Former Origin Greats (FOGS) is a not for profit organisation founded by the late Richard ‘Tosser’ Turner in 1997.
Tosser’s vision for FOGS was to keep the Origin spirit alive in Queensland. In doing so over the past twenty years the organisation has utilised the game of Rugby League and the profound impact it has to unify communities to develop and focus on a number of key objectives.
One of the foremost objectives of the organisation is to support the development of all levels of Rugby League in Queensland as well as to the support the annual Queensland State of Origin campaign, players and staff.
In addition, FOGS is committed to a number of community initiatives and offer assistance to many charities and various causes throughout each calendar year, whilst also dedicated to assisting to ‘Close the Gap’ in the areas of education and employment between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
