Born from the heart of the Fairfield community in 1973, Fair Foundations (formerly Community First Step) was founded by the people, for the people. What began as a safe landing place for new migrants and refugees has grown into a trusted community organisation with deep roots, hard-won local knowledge, and strong relationships built over more than 50 years.
From day one, we’ve worked to break down barriers, enable inclusion, and provide life-changing support. Today, we continue to stand alongside people at every stage of life, with Child & Family programs, Youth services, Disability services, Seniors Support, Emergency Relief, Community Hub Support, and Digital Inclusion initiatives. Whether it’s navigating challenges, building skills, or creating connections, we’re here to strengthen lives and communities.
Guided by our values of Grit, Love, Excellence, Equity, and Integrity, we remain driven by our love for humanity and social justice. While we have changed our name, we haven't changed our purpose: we help people find their place and forge a fair future.
