Description
Fakultas Industri Kreatif Universitas Surabaya didirikan pada tahun 2012 dengan tiga program kekhususan: Desain & Manajemen Produk, Desain Fashion dan Produk Lifestyle, serta Desain Interaksi dengan gelar Sarjana Desain (S.Ds.). Pada peresmiannya di tahun 2012, FIK UBAYA dibuka oleh Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif Indonesia, Ibu Marie Elka Pangestu.
Dalam proses pembelajarannya, Fakultas Industri Kreatif UBAYA tidak hanya memberikan kemampuan pelatihan kreatif individu, namun juga kemampuan bekerja sama dengan industri, pemerintah dan masyarakat umum. Program Studi di FIK UBAYA sudah terakreditasi A oleh BAN-PT dan telah tersertifikasi standar pendidikan internasional oleh AUN-QA.
FIK UBAYA percaya, bahwa setiap individu memiliki kreativitas yang tinggi. Beragam fasilitas yang dimiliki FIK UBAYA mulai dari laboratorium, workshops, hingga kuliah di luar kelas akan mampu menggali potensi kreatif mahasiswa lebih dalam lagi. Dengan 144 kredit yang ada, akan mampu memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk belajar banyak tentang ilmu baru yang akan sangat menyenangkan dan kreatif. Tatap muka program teoritis kuliah, program kuliah studio dengan proses kerja desain yang dipandu oleh pengajar yang sangat berkompeten, penelitian di dalam laboratorium dengan fasilitas yang sangat baik, sedangkan praktek lapangan cukup mengajak mahasiswa menerapkan pengetahuan secara langsung dalam megatasi permasalahan yang ada diluar kampus.
