Founded in 2007 by the Monforte family, Euro Foods QLD is a proudly family-owned and operated company based in Brisbane. Specialising in European-style products, our company sources a diverse range of goods both locally and abroad, including smallgoods, pantry products, cheeses, sweets, and beverages. Euro Foods QLD is HACCP certified and trusted by many restaurants, cafés, independent supermarkets, and grocers across Queensland for reliable supply and delivery of quality food and beverage products.
When Luigi Monforte moved to Queensland from Italy several decades ago, he began a small food business called L. Monforte and Co., and was driven by a passion to share the flavours of his Italian heritage. He saw a unique opportunity to introduce European food to the Queensland region, unknowingly laying the foundation for a lasting cultural connection between Italy and his new home.
In 1977, his son, Sam Monforte became involved in every aspect of the family business—from driving trucks and picking stock in the warehouse to building relationships with suppliers and overseeing the import of specialty products. Along with the help of his two brothers, the business, L. Monforte and Co., grew into a successful enterprise. Though the business would eventually change and evolve, Luigi’s vision planted the seeds of something much greater. After years of hard work, Luigi retired—but his legacy was far from over.
In 2007, Euro Foods QLD was founded by his son, Sam Monforte, who set out to honour and continue the tradition his father began. Growing up in a family passionate about high-quality food and culture, Sam’s mission was to bring authentic European products—sourced both locally and abroad—into Australian homes, preserving the cultural connection between Italy and Australia.
Following in his father’s footsteps, Sam built a family-run business grounded in strong values. Today, his sons Lawrence and Liam proudly carry that vision forward.
