Eastern Steel Sdn Bhd (ESSB) is located in Kemaman, Terengganu State. ESSB covering an area of 1,209 acres. The principal activities of ESSB are manufacturing and selling steel products, serving the Malaysian and Southeast Asian markets. For now, ESSB has an annual production capacity of 2.7 million tonnes. Our major production plants consist of coking, sintering, ferroalloy, iron-making, steel-making and auxiliary facilities.
ESSB is also an overseas subsidiary of China Beijing Jianlong Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. (Jianlong Group). ESSB was jointly invested by Jianlong Group and Hiap Teck Venture Bhd (HTVB).In 2022, Jianlong Group is ranked 8th on the top steel-producing in the world and ranked 465th on the 2023 Fortune Global 500.
