Description
Embrace Multicultural Mental Health is run by Mental Health Australia. We support Australia’s mental health and suicide prevention services to assess and enhance their cultural responsiveness and inclusivity to better support, listen to and reflect the needs of culturally diverse communities.
We support people from multicultural backgrounds by providing culturally appropriate information to encourage help-seeking, address stigma and create space for safe and sustainable conversations about mental health and suicide prevention.
We are proud to partner with the Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia (FECCA) and the National Ethnic Disability Alliance (NEDA).
We also work closely with our Lived Experience Group with representatives from each state and territory. Our Stakeholder Group also consists of representatives with multicultural mental health expertise and links to multicultural communities.
We’re funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, Ageing and Disability.
