Edmund Rice Camps Auckland Inc. is a 100% volunteer-run charity that reaches out to the Auckland community by running holiday camp programs for children aged 7-12. "Camps" provide a fun, holiday experience in a safe in loving environment for children who are in need of a break from their social, financial or family circumstance. Children with perceived potential to benefit from Camps are recruited through social workers, schools and other frontline organisations or individuals.
The Camps experience is run by passionate, young adults who give up their time to ensure a fun, loving and supportive environment is created on the program. The leaders are a diverse group of young adults between the ages of 17 and 27 who bring their own unique skill set to the wider Edmund Rice Community.
