Ecoware is a company built on the idea of change, which began some 12-plus years back in a garage [like many other excellent ideas] and has grown from a start-up to an ambitious scaling global business with 660+ SKUs. Today, we’re serving thousands of customers across Aotearoa, New Zealand, and beyond, working with brands of all sizes, from global franchises and legacy coffee roasters to independent operators and industry newcomers, transition to compostable packaging.
Compostable packaging is not just a ‘nice idea’ anymore; it’s a viable circular solution to polluting, petrochemical plastic packaging. As global brands face ever-increasing pressures to demonstrate real environmental progress, sustainability has become a commercial advantage, shaping customer loyalty, investor confidence, and long-term brand value. This invested interest is accelerating demand for compostables.
Working in cooperation with brand owners and procurement teams, our partners become active participants as we expand across more sectors, requiring diverse packaging solutions. Through verified frameworks such as EcoVadis, and as we advance our supplier transparency and decarbonisation, we’re helping organisations align their packaging choices with ESG and sustainability commitments.
A Toitū Climate Positive Organisation, this July, we remain unwavering in our commitment to compostable materials and their role in keeping materials of value in use, minimising waste generation as part of a circular model.
