Every harvest season, tons of pineapple leaves, perceived as waste, are discarded and burnt by farmers, contributing to harmful CO2 emissions and a negative climate impact.
This is where ECOSOI steps in. Founded by a visionary female environmental engineer, ECOSOI is collaborating closely with local farmers to collect discarded pineapple leaves, which are then ingeniously transformed into high-quality yarn. By repurposing these leaves, we not only prevent the release of CO2 into the atmosphere but also provide an additional stream of income to the very communities that nurture our land.
But our commitment doesn't end there. The process of creating yarn from pineapple leaves leaves behind valuable byproducts. Through meticulous separation, we convert these byproducts into nutrient-rich compost that returns to the hands of farmers, enriching their soil and enhancing their crop yields. This closed-loop system not only reduces waste but also cultivates a sustainable cycle that nurtures both environment and livelihoods.

We proudly collaborate with ethnic minority women who bring their traditional weaving expertise to our journey.
