Welcome to Effective Altruism Taft, a vibrant student-led chapter established in 2021 to spread the philosophy and practice of effective altruism (EA). Our community extends to numerous institutions along the academic hub of Taft Avenue, Manila, such as De La Salle University, De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde, University of the Philippines - Manila, St. Scholastica's College, and many others.

Our chapter stands tall amongst the Philippines' thriving EA ecosystem, closely connected with sister chapters - Effective Altruism Blue and Effective Altruism UP Diliman. As part of the global EA movement that originated in Oxford, UK in 2009, we are committed to inspiring evidence-based actions that lead to the most significant positive change.
