Description
Double Bay Sailing Club is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit community club, which is one of the pre-eminent ILCA/Laser-class sailing clubs in the world. It was awarded Club of the Year for NSW/ACT in the 2020 Australian Sailing Awards.
We aim to promote access to and participation in sport, to grow and foster excellence in ILCA/Laser-class sailing, and to provide a vibrant and social community hub.
We have an inclusive culture where diversity is valued, individuals are respected and friends are made.
We host the largest ILCA/Laser-class fleet in Australia, with year-round competitive racing at all levels. We consistently have 50+ Lasers competing in our races. Our fleet includes beginners, weekend competitors, state, national and world champions, and former and future Olympians.
We have a commitment to teaching, with "Learn to Race" classes led by world champion, Martin White, and a series of comprehensive coaching programs conducted by 13-times world champion, Brett Beyer.
We welcome members from all walks of life and from all areas of Sydney and beyond.
