Located within Kuala Lumpur’s Golden Triangle is Dorsett Kuala Lumpur not only represents Dorsett Hospitality International’s very 1st hotel in Malaysia but also within the group. The midscale hotel opened in April 1998 with 322 guestrooms including 27 suites, four multi-functional space, a gymnasium, Checkers Café – an all-day dining facility and Windows Lounge.
In line with the group’s business strategy and in meeting the needs of today’s savvy travellers, Dorsett Kuala Lumpur embarked upon a total renovation programme in June 2014 and completed the exercise in 2017 at an investment cost of close to RM40 million. Stylishly chic with a refreshed look and feel, the guestrooms and suites are designed with the comfort of the travellers in mind. Fully functional and spacious complete with all the daily necessities including Wi-Fi access for seamless connectivity, choice of pillow for a well-deserved night’s rest; the rooms were upgraded at a cost of close to RM100k per key.
On 1 September 2017, Dorsett Kuala Lumpur added another 52 keys to its room count in the form of service units of Dorsett Residences Bukit Bintang. Ideal for guests and families on extended stay in the city of Kuala Lumpur, the residences offer choice of 1 or 2 fully furnished bedroom units; equipped kitchenette, living and dining area, and dual washer-dryer unit. Bookings of the service units are subject to a minimum of 3 nights’ stay. We now have 48 more new units which has just been added officially this year in Dorsett Residences Bukit Bintang to make it 100 units in total.
