Description
Doctors on Ground (DnG) is a community-powered health organisation rooted in the belief that care should not be confined to hospitals, titles, or formal degrees, but built into the systems of everyday life.
Since 2020, DnG has delivered healthcare and support directly to Malaysia’s underserved populations—including B40 low-income families, Rohingya and Myanmar Muslim refugees, and stateless communities in Sabah—by meeting people where they are and rethinking how care is delivered. We work on the principle that care does not belong to a specific profession or infrastructure: it should be accessible, shared, and sustained within communities themselves.
Guided by our key strategic priorities—Intersectional Equity as a Foundation of Principle, Healthy Living Exists Within Systems, Decentralisation and Community-Driven Care, Continuity of Care, and Data-Led Interventions and Research—DnG builds neighbourhood-level systems that strengthen the capacity of communities to care for themselves while navigating, and at times compensating for, gaps in formal health services.
