DGK was established in 2002 when two law firms; David Gurupatham & Associates and EH Koay & Co. joined forces.
The founding partners, Dato’ David Gurupatham and Koay Eng Hooi shared a passion to offer top notch legal services over a wide spectrum of practice areas in Malaysia and abroad, grounded on the core principles of diligence, virtue and excellence.
Driven by the sheer desire to provide solutions tailored to meet the requirements of our clients, and the motivation to constantly better our skill and knowledge, DGK has grown to become one of the leading law firms in Malaysia over the last 20 years.
DGK has earned notable accolades which include the Lifetime Member of the Branding Association of Malaysia (2018), the Belt and Road Operation Centre for the Malaysian Region (2016 to 2019) by LD (International) Legal Alliance, the nomination as West Malaysia Law Firm of the Year by Thomson Reuters and Top Panel Lawyer for Consumer Financial Services by OCBC Bank (2013 to 2015).
