Description
Defence Shed is an organisation dedicated to supporting all current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force and Emergency Services personnel. The organisation is also one of the few charities to have its principles endorsed and be supported by the former Chief of the Defence Force, Air Chief Marshall Mark Binskin, AC.
Defence Shed has been established as physical sheds since 2015. In the past four years we have assisted current and ex-serving Australian Defence Force and Emergency Services personnel to improve their health and well being through various community projects and structured activities. We are currently in the early stages of growing our community projects program and other health, wellbeing and educational programs such as cooking lessons, camping, fishing and manual projects. These include working with other charities and local councils to build social bonds and trust between our members and the local community. Through these activities we understand the members needs and refer them to the most appropriate service or organisation rather than duplicating services.
